Daniel Bluman has always been motivated to reach his lifelong dream of becoming one of the best Jumping riders in the world. Daniel, born in Colombia, started riding at age 3. In 2004 won FEI Children’s International Jumping Final and continued his rapid progression. In 2007 he moved to Wellington (FL) where he started his professional riding career and built his own structure “Bluman Equestrian”. Daniel won the WEF Finale Grand Prix, his first 5* Grand Prix, in 2012. Later that year he was a finalist at the Olympic Games in London. In 2014, Daniel led team Colombia to Team Gold at the Central American Games and to a 10th place in the Team Competition at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, a feat never before achieved for the Colombia. In April 2015, Daniel opened Bluman Equestrian NY, now his base for the North American Circuit. In 2015 Daniel won the Rolex Grand Prix in Central Park. In 2016, with the addition of talented new mounts such as Apardi, his KWPN stallion, and his star mare Sancha La Silla, Daniel came 3rdin the Global Champions Tour 5* Grand Prix of Hamburg and Chantilly and was 7th in Vienna. He finished his first GCT season in the 9th place of the overall rankings. This same year, Daniel represented his country for the second time at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Daniel has produced every Grand Prix horse he has ridden, from the Young Horses classes onward. His focus has always been to buy affordable young horses, training them to the highest level. His investments in young promising horses and his talent in producing Grand Prix horses ensure him to keep on competing at the highest level.
